    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably perform the supply and flow of ink by irradiating nozzle orifices, a pressure chamber and the wall surfaces of ink passages with laser beam or plasma to modify the inner surfaces of them. SOLUTION: After a synthetic resin is electrodeposited on a nozzle plate 19, the synthetic resin is modified. Burr 23 is composed of a synthetic resin and protrudes to the leading end part of a nozzle orifice 14 to obstruct the emission of ink liquid droplets. An orifice leading end part modifying process is performed to remove the burr 23 formed to the leading end part of the nozzle orifice 14 to obtain the nozzle orifice 14 having an accurate shape coinciding with a plan, f The nozzle orifice 14, a pressure chamber and the wall surface of an ink passage, especially, the wall surfaces formed by the nozzle plate 19 in the pressure chamber and the ink passage are modified by excimer laser beam or oxygen plasma. By this constitution, the supply of ink is smoothly performed and excellent ink emitting control properties are obtained and printing of high quality becomes possible and the bonding strength of the nozzle plate and a substrate is excellent and durability is markedly enhanced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase current density and to improve boiling bubble generation efficiency by passing current through conductive ink, boiling the ink between electrodes, generating bubbles, and making the apex angle of the opposite part of a pair of the electrodes which makes a nozzle installed in a part of a pressure chamber discharge ink droplets an isosceles triangle. SOLUTION: The tips of electrodes 13, 14 are suitably in a state which meets an isosceles triangle in which the apex angle of the tip part is 20-160 degree, in gradation printing of different dot diameters, since the alternating current I (t) density passing through conductive ink from the electrodes 13, 14 increases, and the generation efficiency of boiling bubbles 22 and the discharge efficiency of ink droplets increase so that the stable discharge of the ink and the curtailment of powder consumption can be attained. When the apex angle of the tip part exceeds 160 degree, the maximum temperature of the conductive ink between the electrodes 13, 14 is not a part A on the line of the shortest distance between the electrodes 13, 14 but is the end edge parts B of the electrodes 13, 14, when boiling bubbles 22 are generated, stable ink droplets can not obtained.
