摘要： In one embodiment, an energy storage device having a first electrode supported by a first collector sheet; a second electrode supported by a second collector sheet; and a dielectric separator therebetween, all spirally wound together. A container houses this spiral winding, with the first collector sheet having an end in contact with the base and the second collector sheet having an end oriented towards an opening opposite to the base. A collector plate is interposed between the second collector sheet and the opening and is restrained in posibion by a crimp in the container. A lid is positioned in the opening and has one side in electrical contact with the collector plate an an opposite side oriented outwardly of the container. The lid is restrained in position by rolling the one or more container walls over the lid.

摘要： In one embodiment, a feeder for agglomerating particles comprises an enclosure that has an inlet and an outlet and that is adapted to receive a predetermined amount of the agglomerating particles. An inlet valve controls entry into the enclosure, while an outlet valve controls discharge from the enclosure. A transportation system such as an auger system carries the agglomerating particles from the outlet valve to the inner portion of a drum, and, in order to prevent a clogging of the transportation system, the speed of the transportation system is coordinated with the opening rate of the outlet valve. The drum is adapted to spread out the agglomerating particles through perforations in the drum wall, so to cause the agglomerating particles to be delivered from the inner portion of the drum to a conveyor system outside the drum at a substantially uniform rate.

A collector plate is interposed between the first electrode and the base and is electrically conductive, providing the electrical connection between the first electrode and the first electrical terminal and exhibiting an extension with a concave side oriented in the direction of the base, which is connected to the base by interference fitting against a mating protrusion on the base.

摘要： A device for inspecting microscopic objects. A plurality of LEDS is arranged in an array underneath a lens. Some of the LEDS are lighted and some of the LEDS are unlighted. A computer is in control of the LED array. The computer turns on selected LEDS from the array to form the lighted LEDS. Also, the computer turns off selected LEDS from the array to form the unlighted LEDS. The lighted LEDS form a pattern of lighted LEDS underneath the lens. In a preferred embodiment, the lens is connected to a computer controlled camera and the microscopic objects are microscopic crystals. In another preferred embodiment UV LEDS are utilized and illuminate crystals from above. In another preferred embodiment UV LEDS are utilized to illuminate a loop of a Hampton pin to locate a crystal in the loop of a Hampton pin for the purpose of x-ray crystallography.
