    • A method for transmitting a signal and a communications apparatus are provided. The method includes: obtaining a signal transmission mode, where the signal transmission mode indicates that an uplink signal is transmitted in a multiplexing mode; and transmitting the uplink signal on an uplink band and a downlink band in the multiplexing mode according to the obtained signal transmission mode. The communications apparatus includes: a first obtaining unit, configured to obtain a signal transmission mode, where the signal transmission mode indicates that an uplink signals is transmitted in a multiplexing mode; and a transmitting unit, configured to transmit the uplink signal on an uplink band and a downlink band in the multiplexing mode according to the obtained signal transmission mode. The technical solutions of embodiments of the present invention can reduce signaling overheads of the system and improve spectrum efficiency of the system when obtaining channel state information (CSI).

    • Embodiments of the present invention relates to an uplink synchronization method and apparatus, where the method includes: obtaining a timing advance of a second frequency point according to a timing advance of a first frequency point; and sending data at an uplink sending time corresponding to the timing advance of the second frequency point. According to embodiments of the present invention, the TA of the second frequency point can be obtained according to the TA of the first frequency point, and a RACH access process does not need to be performed at the second frequency point, which effectively reduces the network resources occupied by the RACH process, and shortens the produced delay, thereby improving the performance of the entire system.

    • Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, an apparatus, and a system for identifying different frame structures to ensure backward compatibility of an LTE-advanced (LTE-A) network. The method for identifying different frame structures includes: receiving a radio frame on a frequency division duplex (FDD) downlink carrier, where the radio frame includes an identifier of a frame structure; and identifying the frame structure according to the identifier of the frame structure included in the radio frame. Embodiments of the present invention also disclose a user equipment (UE), an evolved NodeB (eNB), and a system for identifying different frame structures. Through the technical solutions provided by embodiments of the present invention, LTE-A users can identify the frame structure carried on the FDD downlink carrier when accessing the network initially, but LTE users are unaware of the change of the frame structure.
