    • A processing system for use in an electronic device is disclosed. The processing system includes a memory unit, an application processor connected to the memory unit, and a baseband processor connected to the memory unit and the application processor. The memory unit is configured for storing information of the electronic device. The application processor is configured for handling applications of the electronic device. The baseband processor is configured for providing communication capabilities for the electronic device. The application processor includes a temperature detector configured for detecting the temperature of the application processor. When the sensed temperature of the application processor is higher than a predetermined temperature, the baseband processor is instructed by the application processor to share workload of the application processor.

    • A simulated eye capable of being changed between a normal and a dilated state. The simulated eye includes an eyeball, a receiving member, at least one first electromagnets, at least one second electromagnets, and magnetic powder. The receiving member includes a translucent portion and a cylindrical portion. The at least one first electromagnets is received in the cylindrical portion and is adjacent to the translucent portion. The at least one second electromagnets is fixed to the cylindrical portion and engages with the translucent portion to close the cylindrical portion to form a closed receiving space. The magnetic powder is received in the closed receiving space. When the first and second electromagnet operates to move the magnetic powder toward and away from the translucent portion, a size of a color area of the translucent portion is changeable, whereby the simulated eye is changed between the normal state and the dilated state.

    • An exemplary embodiment of notebook computer includes a main body, a display, and a proximity sensor. The display is pivotably connected to the main body. The proximity sensor is installed in the main body and includes an emitter and a receiver. The emitter is configured for emitting an emission. The receiver is configure for receiving the emission, determining if an included angle between the main body and the display is in a predetermined range based upon the received emission, and, if yes, generating a signal indicative of placing the notebook computer in the sleep mode.

    • Methods of repairing voids in a material are described herein that include: a) providing a material having a plurality of reactive silanol groups; b) providing at least one reactive surface modification agent; and c) chemically capping at least some of the plurality of reactive silanol groups with the at least one of the reactive surface modification agents. In addition, methods are described herein for reducing the condensation of a film and/or a carbon-deficient film that include: a) providing a film having a plurality of reactive silanol groups; b) placing the film into a plasma chamber; c) introducing a plurality of reactive organic moieties-containing silanes into the chamber; and d) allowing the silanes to react with at least some of the reactive silanol groups. Dielectric materials and low-k dielectric materials are described herein that comprise: a) an inorganic material having a plurality of silicon atoms; and b) a plurality of organic moiety-containing silane compounds, wherein the silane compounds are coupled to the inorganic material through at least some of the silicon atoms.

    • A mono cusped patch for repairing cardiac outflow tract is disclosed in the present invention, which comprises an inner patch, an external supporting patch and a leaflet. An approximate semicircular slit is provided on the inner patch. The inferior border of the leaflet is set between the inner patch and the external supporting patch along the slit. The inner patch, the inferior border of the leaflet and the external supporting patch are stitched together along the slit edge of the inner patch with sutures. The inferior border of the leaflet is fixed between the inner patch and the external supporting patch. According to this special stitching structure, the present invention also provides a valved conduit of good performance. The leaflets of mono cusped patch and valved conduit are sutured with the inner patch/conduit and external supporting patch/conduit to repair cardiac outflow tract, and the inferior border of leaflet is provided between the inner patch/conduit and external supporting patch/conduit, so that the present invention avoids fixing leaflet only with sutures, makes leaflets more durable and improves postoperative longtime treatment effect of patients significantly.
