    • Microlasers with a closed embodiment of the resonator in various geometrical forms are increasingly used. Up to now light decoupling has been achieved by means of a sub-micrometre gap with undirected light overflowing from the total internal reflection. The degree of decoupling which may be achieved as above is however poor and furthermore the production of gaps in the sub-micrometre range is difficult. The inventive microlaser (ML) thus comprises circular resonators (CR) formed such that characteristic reflection points (CPR1, CPR2, CPM) have stability islands which are as large as possible with high point density, as analysed by the Poincaré section calculation. The resonator modes (RM) occurring are guided in a directed manner into at least one monolithic integrated decoupling waveguide (WG), optically coupled directly to the circular resonator (CR) at a particularly favourable reflection point (CPM), with the front face (AF) thereof, by means of a butt coupling (IR).The degree of decoupling may thus be constructively adjusted by means of the parameters of the optical field overlap at the butt joint (IR).
