    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of the adsorbing capability of an adsorbent and improve yield by arranging at least one displacement structure which displaces most of a spatial volume in a spatial area for a gas supply or a gas exhaust to be formed inside an inner cage, with a volume in the spatial area. SOLUTION: An introduction gas is introduced into the lower space 13 of a reaction vessel from an inlet 10 and then is guided into an outer ring-like spatial area 14 between an outer shell 2 and an outer cage 5 after changing its direction on the lower face of a bottom plate 6. Further, the gas is subjected to a reaction treatment while being caused to pass through a wire mesh set in the perforations of an outer cage 5 and a reaction layer 3 inside in the radial direction. After that, the gas is introduced into a spatial area 15 inside the inner cage 4 after passing through a wire mesh set in the perforations of the inner cage 4. In addition, a displacement structure 18 which displaces most of the spatial volume of the inner spatical area 15 with a volume is concentrically arranged in the area 15. The gas flowing into a ringed clearance 15 from the reaction layer 3 is conducted into a treatment installation outside the reaction vessel through a guide outlet 11 connected to an opening in the center part of the bottom pate 6. Thus it is possible to reduce the volume of a space not filled with an active substance to diminish a gas loss and increase the yield.
