    • Disclosed is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, which comprises a capacitor element prepared by rolling an anode foil and a cathode foil together with a separator and impregnating them with a driving electrolyte, an anode lead electrically connected to the anode foil, a cathode lead electrically connected to the cathode foil, a tubular metal case having one closed end and the other open end and containing the capacitor element, and a sealing member hermetically closing the open end, wherein the anode and cathode leads are bent along an outer surface of the sealing member. In this aluminum electrolytic capacitor, the sealing member is comprised of a rubber composition containing a rubber component having, as a constituent, a butyl rubber prepared by crosslinking an isobutylene-isoprene copolymer having an unsaturation degree of 1.2 to 2.5 mol %, with an alkyl-phenol-formaldehyde resin, and 100 to 200 mass parts of reinforcing filler with respect to 100 mass parts of the rubber component. The rubber composition has a Wallace hardness according to International Rubber Hardness Degree (IRHD) of 80 Hw or more, and a tensile elastic modulus at a solder reflow temperature of 4 N/mm2 or more.

    • A chip-type aluminum electrolytic capacitor is provided that allows a lead wire exposed from an insulated terminal plate to have an increased temperature sooner than the other parts to provide highly-reliable soldering in a relatively-easy reflow atmosphere environment and that has a superior vibration resistance. The capacitor includes an insulated terminal plate (3) that includes, at the outer surface thereof, an insertion hole (2a) to which a pair of lead wires (2) introduced from a sealing member of a capacitor body are inserted and a first concave groove (2a) for storing lead wires (2) inserted to the hole while lead wires (2) being bent in an orthogonal direction. Insulated terminal plate (3) is attached to the capacitor so as to be abutted with the above sealing member. Metal electrode (4) is buried in an inner face of first concave groove (2a) provided in insulated terminal plate (3) and the periphery thereof. A part of metal electrode (4) is exposed at end face section (3a) of insulated terminal plate (3). The capacitor also has bidirectional second concave groove (6) that extends from the insertion hole of insulated terminal plate (3) to end sections (3a1, 3a2) of the insulated terminal plate.

    • An electrolytic capacitor (K1-K3) with an open circuit mode mechanism, comprises: a metallic casing (32; 52; 62) for accommodating a capacitor element (31; 51; 61); an upper lid (33; 53; 63) which is mounted on a mouth of the metallic casing; a pair of metallic rivets (35; 54; 65) which are secured to the upper lid; a pair of external connection terminals (39; 55; 70) each of which is connected to one end portion of each of the metallic rivets; and a fixing member (40; 56; 71) which is molded by resin and is formed with a pair of through-holes (41; 57; 72) each for passing the other end portion of each of the metallic rivets therethrough such that the other end of each of the metallic rivets projecting out of the fixing member is connected, by metallic junction, to each of a pair of lead-out lead plates (42; 58; 73) drawn from the capacitor element. In case pressure in the metallic casing rises due to a malfunction of the electrolytic capacitor, the upper lid is deformed by this rise of the pressure, so that the metallic rivets are lifted in a direction away from the capacitor element upon this deformation of the upper lid and thus, the metallic junction between the other end of each of the metallic rivets and each of the lead-out lead plates is cut off, thereby resulting in break of an electric circuit of the electrolytic capacitor.
