    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a by-product coal molded product which can inhibit dust generation and is excellent in productivity.SOLUTION: In a production method of a by-product coal molded product, a modified coal production process is performed where coal and a solvent are mixed to extract coal components soluble in the solvent to be separated into an extraction liquid containing components soluble in the solvent and a by-product coal concentrate containing components insoluble in the solvent, and then the solvent is separated from the extraction liquid to recover ashless coal and the solvent is also separated from the by-product coal concentrate to recover by-product coal, and a by-product coal molded product is produced which contains the by-product coal obtained from the components insoluble in the solvent, in which compression molding of the by-product coal in a powder form is performed using a compaction roll after the modified coal production process, thereby obtaining a plate-shaped by-product coal molded product.
