    • The device for allowing a person to safely step off from and onto a climbing track on a roof edge, a roof slope, a shaft opening or similar, includes a guide rail (10) for guiding a catching device to which a person using the climbing path can be secured, and an extension piece (24) of the guide rail (10). The extension piece (24) of the guide rail (10) can be moved between a first and a second position, the extension piece (24) being so arranged in the first position that it does not project above the guide rail (10), and being aligned in longitudinal direction with the guide rail in the second position. The extension piece (24) can be guided displaceable along the guide rail (10) and at a distance from the latter and can be swivelled by 180° in the final position, which corresponds to the second position, so that it is in alignment with the extension (10).

    • A connector adapted for use in an illumination system comprising at least one optical element, such as an optical fiber. is disclosed. The connector comprises a housing dimensioned so that internally it retains at least one end portion of at least one optical element, and externally substantially follows the shape of the end portion(s) of the optical element(s). This forms a join between the ends of the optical element(s). A light source is also contained within the housing and positioned so as to illuminate the end portions of at least one optical element. Electrical connection means adapted to connect the light source to an external power supply are provided. The electrical connection means being moveable relative to the housing. The electrical connection means may be carried by a flexible substrate, or may be formed by slideable contacts within a light guide rail.

    • An integrated circuit including a precharge circuit for a DC/DC boost converter which includes a reference current circuit with a MOSFET transistor (MP4) that has a gate connected with the gate of the DC/DC boost converter's power MOSFET transistor (MP5) to form a current mirror. The precharge circuit works to approach the output voltage to the supply voltage prior to the converter startup. An included regulation circuit adjusts the gate potential at the power MOSFET transistor (MP5) and at the MOSFET transistor (MP4) in the reference circuit in response to a reduction of the drain-source voltage of the power MOSFET transistor (MP5) due to precharging load capacitance, in a sense to keep the precharge current through the power MOSFET transistor (MP5) constant.
