    • A highly sensitive positively charged type electrophotographic photoconductor includes an organic compound that transports electrons efficiently, improving light emission efficiency. The photoconductor is used in an electrophotographic drum, an electrophotographic cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus. The photosensitive layer includes at least one compound represented by the following general formula (I) wherein each of R1, R2, R3 and R4, is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups having 1-6 carbon atoms that optionally have substituents and aryl groups that optionally have substituents, each of R5 and R6 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups having 1-6 carbon atoms that optionally have substituents, aryl groups that optionally have substituents and heterocyclic groups that optionally have substituents, R7 is selected from the group consisting of halogen atoms, alkyl groups having 1-6 carbon atoms that optionally have substituents, aryl groups that optionally have substituents and heterocyclic groups that optionally have substituents, m represents an integer of 0 to 2 and a plurality of R7s are the same or different, the substituents being selected from a group consisting of halogen atoms, alkyl groups having 1-6 carbon atoms, alkoxy groups having 1-6 carbon atoms, aryl groups, and heterocyclic groups.

    • An organic electrophotographic photoconductor diminished in an image trouble due to history of a transfer process in a reversal development system is disclosed. The above organic electrophotographic photoconductor is called a separated-function laminated type organic electrophotographic photoconductor, which has an undercoat layer and a photosensitive layer laminated in this order on a conductive substrate, the photosensitive layer comprising a charge generation layer laminated on the undercoat layer and containing an organic compound, and a charge transport layer laminated on the charge generation layer and containing an organic compound. For the charge generation layer, a titanyloxyphthalocyanine compound is used as a charge generation material. The present invention uses the titanyloxyphthalocyanine compound having a clear diffraction peak at a Bragg angle (2.theta.) of 9.6.degree..+-.0.2.degree. or 27.3.degree..+-.0.2.degree. for CuK.alpha. characteristic X-ray (wavelength 1.541 .ANG.). For the charge transport layer, a specific organic compound is used as a charge transport material.

    • An electrophotography photosensitive body has a single layer photosensitive layer on top of a conductive substrate, directly or via an undercoat layer. The single layer photosensitive layer contains at least a resin binder, a charge generating substance, and a charge transport substance, wherein at least one of the charge generating substances is a titanyl phthalocyanine, which, in a x-ray powder diffraction spectrum having a radiation source of CuK &agr; and within a range of a Bragg angle 2&thgr;=5˜35°, a ratio, R, of a value, P, of a diffraction intensity of a highest peak and a value, B, of a diffraction intensity of the background satisfies the equation R=(P−B)/B≦7.0. The resulting electrophotographic photosensitive layer shows excellent electrical properties with positive charging as well as excellent stability when repeatedly used.
