摘要： A radiation image recording and read-out apparatus comprises a case housing a stimulable phosphor sheet and having an opening, a light shielding cover housed in the case for projection therefrom through the opening, a recording section for exposing the stimulable phosphor sheet disposed at an exposure position in the light shielding cover projected out of the case to radiation, and a read-out section having a sub-scanning system for moving the stimulable phosphor sheet between the exposure position and a position in the case. Or, the apparatus comprises a case having an opening for passing the stimulable phosphor sheet therethrough, a recording section for exposing the stimulable phosphor sheet disposed at the exposure position in the case to radiation, and a read-out section having a sub-scanning system for moving the stimulable phosphor sheet between the exposure position and a position projected out of the case. Alternatively, the apparatus comprises a sheet feed system for reciprocating a strip-like flexible stimulable phosphor sheet between first and second wind-up shafts, and a recording section for exposing the stimulable phosphor sheet disposed between the first and second wind-up shafts to radiation.

摘要： A radiation image read-out apparatus is constituted for scanning a stimulable phosphor sheet carrying a radiation image stored thereon with a beam of stimulating rays which cause the stimulable phosphor sheet to emit light in proportion to the stored radiation energy, and photoelectrically detecting the light emitted by a stimulable phosphor sheet portion scanned with the beam of stimulating rays by use of a photodetector to obtain an image signal. The radiation image read-out apparatus is constituted so that the beam diameter of the beam of stimulating rays is adjusted to be smaller than a picture element size and each of picture elements is scanned by a plurality of scanning passes with the beam of stimulating rays. An addition device is provided for adding a plurality of image signals per picture element obtained by the plurality of scanning passes.

摘要： In a radiation image read-out method and apparatus, a stimulable phosphor sheet carrying a radiation image stored thereon is exposed to stimulating rays which cause the stimulable phosphor sheet to emit light in proportion to the stored radiation energy, and the emitted light is photoelectrically detected by a photodetector to obtain image signals. The detection range of the photodetector for the emitted light is adjusted to a range substantially wider than an expected light emission range. The image signals obtained with the detection range by the photodetector is stored in a storage device, and sent to a histogram analysis device for creating a histogram of the image signals and analyzing image input information on the stimulable phosphor sheet based on the histogram. An image signal in a range useful for reproduction of a visible image is extracted from the image signals stored in the storage device on the basis of the image input information obtained by the histogram analysis device, and utilized for reproducing the visible image.

The core is formed primarily of a rubber material, the envelope layer is formed primarily of a specific resin mixture, the intermediate layer is formed primarily of a resin material, and the cover is formed primarily of polyurethane. The intermediate layer and the cover have surface hardnesses (Durometer D hardness) which satisfy the relationship: intermediate layer surface hardness>cover surface hardness. The golf ball has an excellent flight performance and controllability that are acceptable to professionals and other skilled golfers, while also having an excellent durability to cracking on repeated impact and an excellent scuff resistance.

摘要： A metallic gasket including a base plate having a convex metal bead formed, by bending the base plate, between a combustion chamber opening and on the outer periphery portion of the base plate, and a first thickness-increased portion formed thicker than the remaining portions of the base plate to provide a difference in thickness, by which a surface pressure is made to concentrate on the first thickness-increased portion to seal a joint between a cylinder head and a cylinder block when the metallic gasket is disposed between the joint surfaces of the cylinder head and the cylinder block and fastened by clamping bolts. An elastic sealing material is fixed to the convex portion of the metal bead and filled in a concave portion on the reverse side of the base plate to form a rubber bead, and the sealing material is deformed under compression in the through-thickness direction in cooperation with the deformation of the metal bead when the gasket is fastened with clamping bolts. This gasket reduces production cost and preserves a stable sealing performance for extended periods of time.
