摘要： An image display device comprises a first storage device (4) for storing an image data, an image processor (8) for reducing the number of bits of the image data, a second storage device (10) for storing the image data after being processed, a display device (12) for displaying the image data after being processed, a driver (14) for driving the display device (12) and a controller (16) for controlling the operation of the driver (14). The controller (16) determines whether the image data stored in the first storage device (4) is dynamic or static, and, in the case of a static image, after storing the signals corresponding to one frame of the image data in the second storage device (10), operates only the second storage device (10), the driver (14) and the display device (12). Thereby, reduction of power consumption can be achieved while maintaining high image quality.

摘要： The present invention provides a method of driving an active matrix display device in which one frame comprises a plurality of sub-frames each comprising a write time and a hold time and gray scale driving is brought about by the cumulative effect of the hold times. Gray scale display driving is carried out by randomly scanning scan lines other than one predetermined scan line in a predetermined sequence in the hold time of each sub-frame corresponding to the one predetermined scan line so that any one sub-frame is not written to any one scan line more than once and one frame is such that in each of the scan lines, the writings and the hold time of each of the sub-frames is ensured to bring about gray scale display. Through this means, the frame period is shortened.

摘要： In an ion generating element according to the present invention, a discharge electrode and an inductive electrode are provided to face each other with a dielectric body therebetween, and a heater electrode for producing heat with Joule heat generated by electrification and the inductive electrode are provided independently on the same surface of the dielectric body. Further, the heater electrode and the inductive electrode are connected and positioned such that a heater current does not flow into the inductive electrode. Thereby, it is possible to appropriately set a size or a shape of the inductive electrode according to a condition at low costs, allowing stable and effective discharge.

The first exhaust duct is therein provided with a catalytic honeycomb filter for ozone gas treatment and an ion emitting unit for emitting negative ions into an atmosphere. Furthermore, the residual ozone gas component is decomposed by the negative ions generated by the ion emitting unit. This arrangement makes it possible to provide a new ozone removal device which is different from an ozone decomposing filter or a heat source.

摘要： A brush holding apparatus is mounted to an inner wall surface of a rear bracket and a cap mounted to a head portion of a brush holder portion is exposed through an opening in the rear bracket.
