    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cover a water bottom side opening of a transport pipe by underwater concrete placed beforehand as quickly as possible.SOLUTION: A position of an excavation bottom face 2 where a transport pipe 5 is to be installed is first partially digged down by using a clamshell bucket 7 and the like to excavate and form a recess 6. Next, a water bottom side opening 5a of the transport pipe 5 is inserted into the recess 6. Then, a plunger 8 limiting contact of underwater concrete with water in the transport pipe 5 is put into the transport pipe 5 from a water level opening end of the transport pipe 5. Subsequently, the underwater concrete is supplied from the water level opening end of the transport pipe 5 into the transport pipe 5. Then, the underwater concrete presses the plunger 8 in the transport pipe 5 to push the plunger 8 from the water bottom side opening 5a of the transport pipe 5 into the recess 6. Thereby, the underwater concrete in the transport pipe 5 is supplied and filled into the recess 6. As a result, the water bottom side opening 5a of the transport pipe 5 is quickly covered by the underwater concrete in the recess 6.
