    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a tunnel, and a construction method for the tunnel, which are suitable, for example, for construction of a ramp section of a road tunnel with a large cross section at a great depth, which dispense with soil improvement and various reinforcing construction methods to the utmost, which enable safe, rational and efficient construction, which enable a reduction in construction period and construction cost, which can be applied to either of a shield tunnel and a mountain tunnel, and which enable a road etc. to be rationally joined into one, branched or made wider. SOLUTION: A plurality of bent pipe-shaped buried pipes 17-19 are arranged in such a manner as to cross the longitudinal direction of the tunnel 1. Lining walls 23-25 are formed along the buried pipes 17-19. Both ends of the buried pipes 17-19 and both ends of the lining walls 23-25 are supported by both side sections of the tunnel 1. The tunnel 1 is provided in such a manner as to be capable of communicating with a main line tunnel 3 whereon a main line structure 6 is laid, and a branch line tunnel 4 whereon a branch line structure 8 is laid. The structure 6 and a separation/joining area 35, which can be separated from the structure 6 into the structure 8 or which can be joined to the structure 6 from the structure 8, are provided in the tunnel 1.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cut-off device suitable for cutting off water of a jacking pipe sent out in the ground in a ground improvement and tunnel construction, preventing water leakage of a seal part while allowing jacking and rocking of the jacking pipe, dispensing with its replenishment and a replenishing facility by preventing separation and consumption of a filled sealant, surely providing the stable seal effect by preventing reduction in the seal function, and providing the rational seal effect by adjusting the connecting number of water cut-off units in response to pressure acting on the seal part.
      SOLUTION: This water cut-off device is provided with an outside seal cylinder 13, an inside seal cylinder 4 relatively movably arranged in the shaft direction on its inside, a first seal member 16 arranged in a longitudinal position of an inner surface of the outside seal cylinder 13 and slidably arranging its tip part on an outside surface of the inside seal cylinder 4, and a second seal member 17 filled between a peripheral surface of the inside-outside seal cylinders 13 and 4 and the first seal member 16. The second seal member 17 is composed of a gelatinous member having predetermined elasticity and plasticity.
