    • PURPOSE:To measure setting time quantitatively by rotating a smaple wherein the refractory material of indefinite size is kneaded at every preset time interval, and pushing a detecting body to a side surface of the sample by a specified stroke. CONSTITUTION:The sample is put in each sample container 1, and a geared motor 18 is started. The detedting body 14 is advanced together with a compressing load cell 16, inserted into the sample container 1 through a measuring window 4, and pushed to the side wall of the sample to be mesured. Said detecting body 14 is pushed by the specified stroke, then a limit switch 20 at a leading side is actuated at this time point, and the body 14 is stopped. The compression resisting force of the sample is measured by the output of the load cell 16. The sample container 1 is intermittently rotated by a motor 12, and the compression resisting force of the other side surface of the sample is also meausred. From the time point when said compression resisting force has reached a preset value, the time required for the setting of the sample can be immediately determined. In this constitution, the setting time of the sample, wherein the refractory mateial of indefinite size is kneaded can be quantitatively measured.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and timely carry and feed sections to a section collector by operating a section raising/lowering means and a section reloading means based on detection output of a section consumption detecting means and reloading the sections from a magazine to a feeder box. SOLUTION: A magazine 12 filled and collected with sections 11 is carried to, positioned in, and fixed to a section output position 50 on a stocker conveyer 18. When the sections 11 are consumed in a feeder box 19 of a gathering machine 15 so as to be reduced to a fixed quantity, the section height position detection sensor generates a shortage signal. A vertical frame 66 of a section reloader 53 is moved to the stocker conveyer 18 matched to the gathering machine 15 from which the section shortage signal is generated and a section presser plate 63 is lowered so as to pressurize the top of a bundle of the sections 11 in the magazine. Secondary, the sections 11 are pushed up in the magazine 12 by the section raising/lowering device 52, sandwiched between the holding claw 65 and the presser plate 63 by advancing a section holding claw 65, and reloaded on the feeder box 19 of the gathering machine 15.
