    • Disclosed is a method for measuring the concentration of an atmospheric or water pollutant. The method comprises the steps of: (a) testing variations of color based on the concentration of a pollutant contained in the atmosphere or water using a colorimetric measurement kit; (b) photographing the color of the colorimetric measurement kit and the color of a reference color sheet using a photographing device to obtain an image; (c) digitizing the chromaticities of the color of the colorimetric measurement kit and the color of the reference color sheet using an image analysis program; (d) and calculating the value of the concentration of the pollutant from the numerical value of the color of the colorimetric measurement kit using a linear interpolation method. According to the present invention, the necessity of separate expensive analysis equipment is eliminated to enable easy and inexpensive on-site measurement. Further, the colors of the colorimetric measurement kit and the reference color sheet may be obtained as a single image to allow for easy normalization of the image. In addition, the influences of a lighting environment and performance of a measurement device may be minimized during the process of acquiring the image.
