    • PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which can treat harmful metallic waste safely and smoothly by so constituting the same that slag is beforehand fired and melted by microwaves and the entire stage from this firing and melting up to melting of the metallic waste is accomplished continuously in a hermetic state. CONSTITUTION:Slag S is placed on a molding board 1b, and a carriage 3 is carried into the central part of a moving carriage 11 to bring mold bodies 1a, 1a in proximity to each other, whereby a mold 1 is assembled. The carriage 11 moved to right under an SM device 10 is lifted by a ram 20 until the upward opening part of the mold 1 contacts tightly the connecting part for the upward opening of the device 10. Shutters 12 and 15 are opened and a microwave oscillator 18 is operated to melt the slag S in a few minutes. The shutters 12 and 15 are closed, and the carriage 11 is lowered and is moved to right under an electroslag melting device 2 where the upward opening part of the mold 1 is brought in tight contact with the downward opening connecting part of the device 2, after which the shutter 12 is opened to charge metallic waste. This is followed by substituting with a shielding gas, descending of an electrode, conduction of electricity, etc. sequentially, and the molten metallic waste is solidified by retreating of the electrode and water cooling of the mold 1.

    • PURPOSE:To perform the adequate controlling of furnace heat balance and achieve the reduction of fuel cost by measuring three factors of feed O2 amount, ore/coke, etc., calculating furnace heat condition index, comparing the same with the index having been beforehand obtained and correcting the values of the above-mentioned three factors. CONSTITUTION:As the heat balance fluctuation factors of a blast furnace, the three factors of feed O2 amount (Nm /min.m ) as a value indicating coke combustion heat as well as the ratio ore/coke of iron ore charge amount and coke charge amount and the mean JIS reducibility of total charged iron ore are measured. From the measured values, the furnace heat condition index is calculated and is contrasted with the furnace heat condition index showing the stable range having beforehand been obtained from the actual operation data. The deviation from said stable range is evaluated and calculated and the values of the respective factors are changed and corrected. It is also possible to fix said factors 1-2 and let the remaining 2-1 be control factors. It is also equally well to designated the O2 feed amount and/or ore/coke corresponding to the target productivity coefficient and letting the remaining one or two factors be control factors.
