Further, it is preferable to reduce a rolling reaction at the time of bending by setting the ratio; body length/body diameter of the work roll for providing the horizontal bending, to >=4.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a different thickness metallic plate of necessary size stably and with high accuracy, by overlapping width direction different thickness metallic slabs like a rectangle through a peeling agent, executing the hot rolling, and after that, peeling off the metallic plate. CONSTITUTION:>=2 steel slabs, etc. being similar to a metallic plate having desired different thickness in the width direction are overlapped by interposing a peeling agent such as alumina powder, etc. whose melting point is higher than a heating temperature of the slab, and the width direction section of the slab is formed like a rectangle. They are heated in a heating furnace, and hot-rolled, and the overlapped metallic plate is peeled off, as they are, or after cold rolling. Or after hot rolling, the metallic plate is peeled off and cold working is performed. Thus, a metallic plate whose thickness is different in the width direction, and which has desired size can be manufactured easily, stably and with high accuracy.

    • PURPOSE:To improve thickness accuracy by improving the calculation formula of the plate crown on the pass outlet side of prior arts by adding an effect of an inlet side plate crown, and correcting rolling reduction, etc. for the final 2 passes based on the difference between the value by this calculation formula and the target crown. CONSTITUTION:A rolling plan is tentatively determined based on calculation or experiment. A pass inlet side plate crown is tentatively set from the target crown, pass inlet side thickness and outlet side thickness and a pass outlet side crown is calculated from this pass inlet side crown, blank material plate width, a roll size and shape, roll bending force set value and the tentative value of the rolling weight in this pass. Based on the difference between this calculated value and said target crown, the correction of the rolling reduction and the roll bending force is performed with respect to at least the final two passes to the front stage pass from the final pass. Further, even with the pass of the previous stage, the rolling reduction is corrected by the similar method in, case the ratio between the pass inlet side thickness and the plate width is below a certain fixed threshold value. In this way, the plate crown and flatness may be made good without impairing the thickness accuracy of the rolled product.

    • PURPOSE:To maintain the plane figure of end portion of the rolled material at a rectangle, by forecasting the quantity of projection of hollowness of the end of rolled material from the roll crown, sheet gauge, etc., and by controlling the feed rate of lubricant at each position in the direction of barrel of the reduction roll. CONSTITUTION:After the first pass, the size of slab, size of the rolled product, and the roll crown are inputted to the arithmetic unit 20 on purpose to settle the draft schedule; and the quantity of irregularity at the rear end of rolled material is operated from these inputs. Depending on the result of this operation, the feed rate of lubricant to each position is operated, and the opening of flow-control-valves 81-j is settled. At the second pass, the lubricant at the flow rate corresponding to this opening is injected from each injection nozzle 7 against both planes of rolled material. The irregularity at the rear end of rolled material after finishing the second pass is operated by the arithmetic unit 20, and the opening of flow-control- valves 41-j is settled; at the third pass, the lubricant at the flow rate corresponding to this opening is injected from the nozzle 3. As a result, the elongation in the rolling direction is controlled, and the rolling work is performed so as to make rectangular the plane figure of end portion of rolled material.
