摘要： A pellet for fabricating a metal matrix composite is made of a mixture of a matrix member of a metal powder and at least one reinforcement selected from whiskers, short fibers and suitable particles, the reinforcement being uniformly distributed in a matrix of the metal powder and said mixture being kept in a shape with a binder, wherein said pellet has a surface layer of dried and rigid portion of said mixture which is rigid enough to keep its shape under an external pressure applied thereto. The pellet is formed from a flat cake of the mixture separated from a slurry consisting of a solution medium and the mixture dispersed therein uniformly. Alternatively, the pellet is formed from the mixture in a dried condition with a granulation binder diluted with a solution medium.

摘要： Weld metal bonding pieces of chromium-molybdenum steel formed by arc welding comprises (wt.%): 0.04-0.14 carbon (C); 0.05-0.40 silicon (Si); 0.05-1.30 manganese (Mn); 2.00-3.25 chromium (Cr); 0.90-1.20 molybdenum (Mo); 0.05-1.00 vanadium (V); and up to 0.015 nitrogen (N); balance iron and incidental impurities, which do not exceed 0.010% phosphorus (P), 0.40 nickel (Ni), 0.018% aluminium plus titanium (Al + Ti), 0.010% each of sulphur (S), tin (Sn), arsenic (As) and antimony (Sb) and 0.045% oxygen (O). A residue obtained by electrolytic extraction from a part of the metal away from the surface, after the weld has been annealed at 650 deg C for 10 hours, contains up to 65% V and has an Fe/Cr ratio of up to 2.0. Also claimed is the production of the above weld by arc welding using a flux-coated consumable electrode.

At this time, in the case that the predicted function F corresponding to the composition of steel is stored in a predicted function storing part 21, the predicted function F is selected and outputted to a function transforming part 4. In the case of not stored, the predicted function F is set at a predicted function coefficient computing part 22 by predetermined computation. Next, predetermined heating conditions are set to a heating condition setting part 3 and read in by the function transforming part 4. The values of the predicted function F according to parameters are computed and outputted to a computing part 5. After predetermined computational processing, the prediction of ferrite decarburized depth is completed.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of cracks in a formed body by using a composite die comprising a sand die (insulated die) to form a cavity and a die to reinforce the sand die as a die in performing the die-cast forming of cast iron to greatly reduce the thermal load of the die and suppress generation of the cementite structure in the die casting. SOLUTION: A die basically comprises a sand die 2 and a die 3. A cavity 4 is formed inside the sand die 2 to the shape of a formed body, and a runner 6 to be communicated with the cavity 4 is provided in a mating surface of the sand die 2. The outer contour of the sand die 2 is approximately of parallelepiped shape. The die 3 is made of the metal such as steel and copper, the sand die 2 is inserted therein, a recess 7 to reinforce the sand die 2 is provided, and a runner 9 to be communicated with the runner 6 formed in the mating surface 5 of the sand die is provided. A shell mold, ceramics die, etc., can be used in addition to the sand die, and for the practical application, the heat conductivity is preferably cal/cm.sec.deg.
