摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the bearing loss and fuel consumption by connecting an oscillating member having a freely movable supporting point to a piston through a joint at one end and to an output shaft at another end for its rotation. CONSTITUTION:Gas compressed by a piston 8 is ignited by an ignition plug 91 to burn, resulting in its expansion. The pressure of the burned gas pushes the piston 8 to move it toward an opposite combustion chamber 90 and moreover pushes a peripheral joining part 31 of an oscillating member 3 through a joint 7. In this case, since a pin part 32 of the member 3 supported by a spherical bearing 4 is restricted to be movable only in the rotating direction of an output shaft 1, the pushing force of the piston 8 acts as motion for rotating the output shaft 1 with a part where the member 3 fits into the spherical bearing 4 taken as a supporting point. Thus, the number of bearings can be reduced by applying the member 3 to an engine without using a crankshaft, and side pressure against the piston 8 can also be weakened for the reduction of bearing loss.
