摘要： A flame retardant thermoplastic composition comprising in combination a polycarbonate homopolymer or copolymer comprising repeat carbonate units having the following structure: (I) wherein R 1 and R 2 are independently at each occurrence a C 1 -C 4 alkyl, n and p are each an integer having a value of 1 to 4, and T is selected from the group consisting of C 5 -C 10 cycloalkanes attached to the aryl groups at one or two carbons, C 1 -C 5 alkyl groups, C 6 -C 13 aryl groups, and C 7 -C 12 aryl alkyl groups; an impact modifier, wherein the impact modifier comprises wherein the impact modifier comprises a rubber modified thermoplastic resin comprising a discontinuous elastomeric phase dispersed in a rigid thermoplastic phase, and wherein the impact modifier has a specific mean particle size and Q value; and a flame retardant. The compositions have excellent scratch resistance as well as an improved balance of physical properties such as impact strength and spiral flow, while at the same time maintaining their good flame performance.

摘要： There is provided a thermal therapy pad useful in relieving pain and having a plurality of easily removable layers on the side of the pad normally facing the skin. The removal of layers results in increased heat removal or delivery to the skin. The removable layers may be re-attached desirably the user find the pad too hot, or may be moved to the opposite side of the pad, or discarded. The pad may use an iron powder reactive core which reacts exothermically with air to provide heating or water and other reactants that react endothermically. More than one core may be used to further tailor the amount and rapidity of the temperature change.

摘要： This invention relates to a reaction vessel constructed of a flexible material including at least two reactant chambers containing two isolated reactants. The reactant chambers and reactants are separated by a frangible seal which opens under pressure, allowing the reactants to mix and react. The reaction produces a desired reactive effect on the environment surrounding the reaction vessel and any articles in that environment. A package in combination with a reaction vessel can be used to cause a reactive effect on an article within the package. The reactive effect can include a temperature change of the article or foaming a material to coat the article.
