    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure proper and smooth follow-up performance of a pad to the rocking of a disc by enhancing the degree of freedom of setting a rocking range of the pad, in a disc brake device that is so composed as to always press the pad against the disc in parallel with each other. SOLUTION: This disc brake device is provided with a housing hole 38 formed in a caliper 30 as a support mechanism for the pad 33a (33b) so as to extend in a pressing direction of the pad 33a (33b), and a support member 40 having a part housed in the hole 38. A space (m) for permitting the support member 40 to rock in a predetermined region around a fulcrum P imagined on the pad 33a (33b) side on the same axis as that of the support member 40 is formed between the outer periphery of the support member 40 and the inner periphery of the hole 38. A spherical contact part 39 having a radius R of curvature centering the rocking fulcrum P of the support member 40 is formed between the bottom face of the hole 38 and the rear end of the support member 40.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid uneven wear of a pad so as to enhance durability and heat resistance of a piston portion, by attaching a reinforcement member on a reverse face of a back plate stretching along the longitudinal direction thereof and pressing the reverse face of the reinforcement member by the piston. SOLUTION: A brake block 1 is pressed by a piston 4 through a reinforcement member 11 at braking. The brake block 1 tries to warp due to the difference between coefficients of linear thermal expansion of a back plate 3 and a pad 2 by the frictional heat generated at this time. However, the strength and rigidity of the brake block 1 is enhanced by a reinforcement member 11 provided along the longitudinal direction of the back plate 3, inhibiting deformation of the brake block 1. Accordingly, uneven wear of the pad 2 due to braking is prevented. A portion of frictional heat at braking is conducted to the back plate 3 from the pad 2, transmitted to the piston 4 via the reinforcement member 11, and heat is radiated during this process. Temperature rise of the piston 4, and moreover the temperature rise of hydraulic fluid is prevented, and the durability of a piston seal member is increased.
