摘要： PURPOSE:To melt remaining steel before restarting casting and to prevent pinching phenomenon by arranging a loop type recessed part for remaining molten steel at the time of completing the casting at bottom part of channel part in a channel type induction heating apparatus. CONSTITUTION:At the time of completing the casting, the molten steel 6 is allowed to remain and solidified as loop-state in the recessed part 20 of channel part 8. Successively, at the time of reusing this heating apparatus, electric current is conducted to a coil 12 for heating preceding restart of the casting, and the steel 6 solidified in the recessed part 20 is induction-heated, and slag allowed to remain in the channel part 8 is melted with this heat to start the casting. When the molten steel 6 flows in the channel part 8 with restart of the casting, as the slag allowed to remain in the channel part 8 is already melted, the slag is easily pushed out with the molten steel 6 newly introduced and the heating apparatus is normally heated from the initial stage of casting and the pinching phenomenon at the initial stage of casting is not developed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce a casting line and to provide economized energy and improved yield by receiving a dummy bar in a dummy bar case at the bottom end of a roller apron on the down stream of a casting mold, traversing the case to replace the dummy bar with a moving roller apron and transferring an ingot to a down stream roller group. CONSTITUTION:The dummy bar 22 at the top end of the ingot 16 is received in the dummy bar case 12 at the bottom end of the roller apron 8 on the down stream of the casting mold 6 and is the case is traversed to disconnect the bar from the joint part and to replaced the bar with the moving roller apron 14. The ingot 16 past the apron 14 is fed to the down stream roller group which is made gradually smaller in the width. The device for removing and recovering the dummy bar 22 is shortened and simplified, by which the continuous casting line is shortened. The energy of the line is thus economized and the yield thereof is improved.

At this time, the top blowing lance 2 is repeatedly rotated and stopped with a prescribed rotating mechanism for rotating the lance 2 in an arbitrary direction at an arbitrary speed. The lance 2 is vertically movable. Thus, the formation of a hot spot on the wall 10 of the converter 1 by local overheating is prevented.
