    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground freezing control type storage facility, in which the frozen ground around an underground storage tank is economically maintained and managed for a long period of time.SOLUTION: The underground freezing control type storage facility of low-temperature liquified gas includes: storage tanks 2 of low-temperature liquified gas LG constructed by vertically excavating a plurality of points Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, ... spaced from each other on the surface E of the ground; heat medium pipes 10U vertically downwardly formed respectively at a plurality of positions along a loop line U surrounding the plurality of points Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, ...; heat medium pipes 10R vertically downwardly formed at a plurality of positions along border lines R between the neighboring points Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, ...; and a heat medium circulation device 15 circulating a heat medium T into each of the heat medium pipes 10U, 10R. The freezing control around each of the storage tanks 2 is performed by circulation of the heat medium T. Preferably, the heat medium circulation device 15 includes control means 16U, 16R to control the circulation of the heat medium T with respect to each heat medium pipe 10U, 10R, independently of each other. The plurality of points Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, ... can be respectively located at vertex positions of a polygon on the surface E of the ground.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground storage method which can minimally suppress a generation amount of a BOG from a low-temperature liquefied gas during storage, and equipment.SOLUTION: A cylindrical cavity 2 having a required outside diameter W2 is formed vertically and downwardly from an underground prescribed depth D, a pilot tunnel 3 smaller in diameter W3 than the outside diameter W2 of the cavity connected to the ground surface E from the top end of the cavity 2 is formed, and the low-temperature liquefied gas LG having a liquid amount not smaller than a cavity capacity is introduced into the cavity 2 and stored while keeping a liquid level within the pilot tunnel 3. Preferably, a prescribed height D of the top end of the cavity 2 is set so that a boiling point of the low-temperature liquefied gas LG at the top end of the cavity 2 may be raised to a prescribed temperature or higher by liquid pressure in the pilot tunnel 3. More preferably, heating tunnels 10 are vertically and downwardly bored from the ground surface E in a plurality of annular regions which surround the cavity 2, and freezing preventing materials T are circulated to the respective heating tunnels 10.

Atmospheric pressure is reduced in a lock sound arrester 9 without leaking out the noise, by simultaneously using a lock silencing auxiliary device 12 to a further increase in the atmospheric pressure. Airtightness is improved by forming a lock opening and closing cover 9b as a horizontal sliding mechanism.
