    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lining member which can sufficiently absorb tail clearances on both longitudinal ends of an existing segment, in a width-enlarging type shield excavator.
      SOLUTION: The width-enlarging type shield excavator comprises a main excavator (1) and sub-excavators (2a, 2b) provided on both sides thereof. An axial line of each of the sub-excavators (2a, 2b) is displaced relative to an axial line of the main excavator (1) so that excavation may be conducted while enlarging the width. The lining member (4) used for the width-enlarging type shield excavator comprises a plurality of pieces including at least four corner parts (20a) as in Fig. 4. A bolt fitting hole (20A) for fitting a new segment (20A) to the existing segment (20) of each of the corner parts (20a) is formed to be an arc-like long hole having a center of the segment as the center of the arc-like shape.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain perfectly united condition with concrete and enhance the strength and durability by providing many recessed portions formed on the surfaces of main girders, joint plates and skin plates of steel segment installed at the inner periphery of a tunnel. SOLUTION: As a primary lining material to be used for the inner periphery of a tunnel, a steel segment 1 is constituted with a plurality of main girders 3, a joint plate 4 and a skin plate 5. Recessed grooves 10 are provided at the inner side of the main girders 3, and joint plate 4 and at the inner side of the skin plate 5 in the short side direction for making easier the adhesion of concrete 2. The steel segments 1 are connected in the tunnel peripheral direction and also in the axis direction and a continuous steel lining is formed. In addition, concrete 2 is poured at the inner side and concrete lining is formed. By providing recessed grooves 10 on the main girders and others, perfectly united adhesion with the concrete 2 can be maintained thereby increasing the strength against surrounding earth and water pressure and improving the durability.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment made of steel, in which the flexural rigidity of a joint bar is increased largely, the segments made of steel adjacent in the circumferential direction of a tunnel can mutually be joined surely and firmly and high cutoff properties can be held. SOLUTION: The segment made of steel has a plurality of main girders 1 connected in the circumferential direction of a tunnel and joint bars 2 connected in the axial direction of the tunnel at both end sections of the main girders 1 respectively. The joint bars 2 are formed while having a plurality of cross ribs 2a connected in parallel in the axial direction as ribs and a plurality of longitudinal ribs 2b connected in the axial rectangular direction and joint ribs 2c projected to the main-girder side from both end sections in the axial direction respectively. The joint bars 2 are formed by casting.
