    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the construction cost and period by partly arranging independent foundations composed of a footing integrally formed with a pile and fitted with an vibration isolation device, under a building. SOLUTION: A foundation for a vibration isolation building is constituted of a pile 1, a footing 2 integrally connected to the pile 1, and a vibration isolation device 5 fixed to the footing 2. The pile 1 is made of a soil cement pile and the footing 2 is made of a precast slab, for instance. When the device 5 is a rolling bearing, a supporting body 7 with a built-in ball bearing 71 is installed to be freely rotatable on a bottom base 6 fixed on the top end face of the footing 2 and the upper end of the support body 7 is fixed to the bottom face of the building. A damper 9 restricting the increase of vibration of the building is connected to the footing 2. Then, a maintenance space 10 for the device 5 and the damper 9a is formed by removing the surface layer soil under the floor framing 8. In this way, the excavation volume and the concrete consumption can be lessened to reduce the construction cost and period. And further, as the maintenance space is formed in a ditch-shape, the floor height of the first story can be lowered.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a large supporting capacity in a campact structure, and to allow to give a restoring force without attaching a restoring device even though plural balls are used, by supporting with plural balls, in a ball bearing support applied to a base isolation of a building or a base isolation floor. SOLUTION: A pan 2 forming a recessed spherical surface 2a on the upper surface is set on a concrete base A, a supporting body 4 assembling plural balls 3 which can roll on the recessed spherical surface 2a at the lower part is installed to a building B or a floor through a spherical hinge 5 so as to compose a vibration-proof device 1, and the loading weight is burdened evenly by plural balls positioning between the convex form spherical surface 4a of the supporting body 4 and the recessed spherical surface 2a of the pan 2, so as to obtain a large supporting capacity, while the vibration-proof device is made possible to restore to the original position automatically without setting a restoring device separately, by moving plural balls 3 smoothly on the recessed spherical surface 2a.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible easily correspond to displacement in every direction even in the case there is a limit to a position for installing a damper in a base isolated building and to enable two dampers to correspond to the displacement in every direction of the base isolated building. SOLUTION: An oil damper 4 is installed on a footing surface 2 below a ground sill 1a of a base isolated building 1 borne on a base isolation device, one end of a wire rope 5 is connected to the ground sill 1a, and the other end is connected to the front end of a rod of the oil damper 4. One end of the wire rope 5 is connected to a joint hardware 6 mounted to the lower part of the ground sill so that it is capable of following the displacement in every direction of the building, the middle part of the wire rope 5 is inserted in a displacement conversion hardware 7 installed on the footing surface of the vibration isolation device and capable of converting the displacement in every direction of the base isolated building into the displacement in one direction and is borne thereon.
