The aim of the invention is to configure a cleaning head of this type in such a way that this is easier to handle and more resistant to disturbances. To this end, the inventive cleaning head (10) comprises a suction housing (20) with a suction channel (46, 50) that opens into the suction openings (48, 52) and a bearing part (12) for supporting said suction housing (20). The suction housing (20) can be displaced in relation to the bearing part (12), towards the direction of advancement (66), and the cleaning head (10) has gear elements (70, 71, 75, 77) for converting the displacement of the suction housing (20) into a movement raising or lowering the squeegee lip elements (62, 64).
