The aim of the invention is to improve the sweeper in such a manner that its forward movement is not impeded by the sweeping sill. The suction housing (20) can be displaced in relation to the bearing part (12), towards the direction of advancement (66), and the cleaning head (10) has gear elements (70, 71, 75, 77) for converting the displacement of the suction housing (20) into a movement raising or lowering the squeegee lip elements (62, 64).
