摘要： In a display apparatus, a frame rate converter divides an image signal into a first image frame for a left eye and a second image frame for a right eye, and generates a first intermediate image frame and a second intermediate image frame. A timing controller converts the first and second image frames to a first compensation frame and a second compensation frame, respectively, and sequentially provides the first compensation frame, the first intermediate image frame, the second compensation frame, and the second intermediate image frame to a data driver. The data driver converts the first and second compensation frames to left-eye and right-eye data voltages, respectively, and converts the first and second intermediate image frames to a predetermined black data voltage.

摘要： A method of displaying a stereoscopic image provides first light having a first wavelength and second light having a second wavelength different from the first wavelength to the a display panel according to left-eye and right-eye images displayed on the display panel. Color correcting data are generated by correcting at least one of left-eye color data corresponding to the left-eye image and right-eye color data corresponding to the right-eye image such that a first color coordinate according to the first light and a second color coordinate according to the second light coincide with each other with respect to the same color. The left-eye and right-eye images are displayed using light having wavelengths different from each other, so that a display quality of the stereoscopic image may be enhanced.

摘要： In a liquid crystal display, black data is input to a portion of the pixel rows only during display of a 3D image, the black data functioning as a black matrix. When a 2D image is displayed, the black data is replaced with color data. Thus, when displaying a 3D image, interference between a left image and a right image may be prevented without a reduction of the aperture ratio of the liquid crystal display during display of a 2D image.

The display device alternately displays a left eye image and a right eye image, and displays an image having a predetermined gray in a period between the left eye image and the right eye image. In a current frame, a white data voltage is applied to the first region and a corrected white data voltage is simultaneously applied to the second region. The corrected white data voltage may be smaller than the white data voltage. A black data voltage is applied to the first region, a corrected black data voltage is simultaneously applied to the second region, and the corrected black data voltage may be smaller than the black data voltage.
