    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive shaft for a vehicle which prevents the quality of coating from being impaired while enhancing coating treatment efficiency to an outer peripheral spline tooth.
      SOLUTION: Since a radiating fin 54 which is projected to an inner peripheral side to radiate heat produced at friction pressure contact of an inside shaft part 34 and a second yoke part 36, is formed on an inner peripheral surface of one end of the inside shaft part 34, the heat produced at the friction pressure contact is hard to be transmitted to an outer peripheral spline tooth 32 formed on the other end side of the inside shaft part 34. As a result, the deterioration of adhesive strength of a diamond-like carbon coating formed on the outer peripheral spline tooth 32 can be suppressed. While enhancing the coating treatment efficiency by applying coating treatment to the inside shaft part 34 which is a part of a second shaft 38, the quality of coating of the outer peripheral spline tooth 32 can be prevented from being impaired at friction pressure contact thereafter.
