摘要： A perfume composition contains at least 50% by weight of materials which fall into five categories defined by structure, and molecular weight. Amounts of material within each category fall within specified ranges of percentage of the whole composition. Two categories, ethers and salicylates, must be present. At least two of the remaining three categories, which are alcohols, acetate/propionate esters and methyl aryl ketones, must also be present.The compositions enable good levels of deodorant activity to be achieved along with consumer-acceptable fragrance.

摘要： The invention concerns perfuming and protecting against microbial spoilage products, which are not intended for human or animal ingestion and which comprise at least 25% of water and 0-60% of a surface active material, by incorporating therein a preservative perfume. Preservative perfumes consist for at least 30% by weight of perfume ingredients which need at least 3 inoculations for failure in the individual challenge test. Preferred effective perfumes themselves need at least 5 inoculations for failure in the perfume challenge test.

摘要： A liquid formulation for depositing perfumes on fabric surfaces comprises an aqueous base, 0.5 to 30% of a fabric conditioning agent such as a fabric softener and 0.5-50% of particles consisting of an intimate mixture of an amine and a perfume, the particles having a size of 0.1-200 micron, preferably 0.1 to 5 micron. The amine may be a primary amine, a tertiary amine or a diamine. The particles are formed from a liquid melt of the amine and the perfume by dispersing in water. A benefit over particles consisting of non-ionic, cationic and perfume can be demonstrated.

摘要： A method of cleaning and depositing perfumes on a surface comprises contacting the surface with a liquor containing a surfactant having a size of 0.1 to 2000 microns and particles comprising a perfume and a water dispersible amine. The surfaces to be treated may be fabrics or hard surfaces. Preferred amines are the primary and tertiary alkyl amines, where one alkyl group has from 8 to 22 carbon atoms. The particles may be made by forming a liquid mixture of the amine and the perfume, and then solidifying and forming into particles. The particles may be incorporated in a variety of products including fabric washing powders and liquid, was-addable solids or liquids, and hard surface cleaning powders and liquids.

摘要： A material for depositing perfume on a surface comprises particles having a size of 0.1 to 2000 microns, the particles containing a perfume and a matrix material, the matrix material being a cationic component, optionally together with a nonionic component. When the nonionic component is present the cationic to nonionic ratio is at least 5:1. The particles may be incorporated in a solid or liquid fabric washing detergent composition or hard surface cleaner. Suitable cationic materials include quaternary ammonium compounds. Suitable nonionic materials include esters of polyhydric alcohols, fatty alcohols and derivatives thereof. Compared to products containing the same amount of perfume in the free state, the products of the invention give improved deposition and perfume retention on the treated surfaces.

摘要： Perfume may be deposited on fabrics by drying wet fabrics in a rotary hot air dryer together with a conditioning composition containing (i) a fabric conditioning agent such as a fabric softener and (ii) particles containing an intimate mixture of a perfume and an amine, particularly a primary or tertiary amine, having an alkyl substituent with from 1 to 22 carbon atoms. The particles may also contain nonionic materials. The conditioning composition may be coated on a substrate, suspended in a liquid medium for spraying onto the fabrics or onto the surfaces of the dryer, or may be in the form of a paste for applying to some of the fabrics before drying. Alternatively the composition may be in particulate form for sprinkling onto the fabrics. The method leads to efficient use of the perfume.
