摘要： A compact roller system including a housing for a plurality of disks, each independently supported within a support member having sides which partially envelop the external peripheries of the disk. The disks do not separate or dislodge from their corresponding support members, yet the disks are capable of rotating within their corresponding support members. Each disk/support member shifts radially within the housing to accommodate the varying contours of a workpiece surface. The disks, in combination with their corresponding support members, apply an adjustable, evenly distributed compaction force to the workpiece surface through internal pressurization of the housing with a compressed gas.

The composite material composition further has a solid particulate filler. The composite material composition has a high flexibility at a temperature of down to about −100 degrees Celsius, has a percent elongation of greater than about 100%, and has a tensile strength of greater than about 5 MPa (megapascals).

The composition has one or more α,ω (alpha, omega) amine or α,ω (alpha, omega) hydroxyl terminated polysiloxane first soft segments having an average molecular weight of between about 2500 grams per mole to about 10,000 grams per mole. The composition further has one or more diisocyanate species. The composition further has one or more low molecular weight diol or diamine chain extenders. The composition has a high flexibility at an environmental temperature of down to about −100 degrees Celsius, and further has a percent elongation of greater than about 250%, a high tensile strength of greater than about 25 MPa (megapascals), and a single low glass transition temperature (Tg) in a range of from about −60 degrees Celsius to about −110 degrees Celsius.

摘要： An composite prepreg ply which can be designed to exhibit desired electrical properties without loss of structural integrity or the addition of parasitic weight, and a method of preparing the composite prepreg ply. The composite prepreg ply includes: (i) a low dielectric cloth substrate having a metal layer adherent on both sides thereon, the metal having been selectively removed from at least one portion of at least one side of the cloth, such that there is at least one area of cloth without any metal adherent thereon; (ii) a layer of encapsulant resin material adherent on the metal layer; (iii) a resistive resin layer containing a filler material dispersed in a carrier resin, the resistive resin layer adherent on desired areas the cloth without any metal adherent thereon, and (iv) an impregnating resin covering one or both outermost surfaces of the encapsulant resin material and the resistive resin layer.
