    • PURPOSE: To prevent the damage possibility of a porous hollow yarn filter membrane by enhancing the releasability of fine particles such as suspended substances adhered to the porous hollow yarn filter membrane, by providing a constant flow amount backwashing mechanism to a backwashing gas supply line.
      CONSTITUTION: A constant flow amount backwashing mechanism C consisting of a pressure reducing valve 11 and a flow regulator 13 is provided on a backwashing gas supply line 9. When a suspended substance is adhered to the surface of a porous hollow yarn filter membrane 2 and filtering capacity is lowered, a raw solution supply valve 5 and a filtrate discharge valve 7 are closed and a backwashing gas supply valve 10 is opened in such a state that the filter membrane 2 is immersed in the solution and a constant flow amount of pressurized gas is introduced into the hollow yarns of the filter membrane 2 from the line 9 through the filtrate zone part A of a filter vessel 1 under pressure and gas bubbles are generated from the surface of the membrane to release and remove the sticky substance such as the suspended substance or microorganism accumulated on and adhered to the surface of the membrane 2. Backwashing gas is introduced into a backwashing solution receiving tank 3 from a backwashing gas outlet line 16 to drop the suspended substance and exhaust through the demister 4.
