摘要： A connector for electrical terminals includes a housing that has a plurality of cavities, a plurality of respective resiliently deformable locking members, and a plurality of respective terminals. Each terminal is inserted in a respective cavity and has (a) a partially inserted position in which the terminal bears on the respective locking member to deform the locking member so that the locking member is raised with respect to a peripheral surface of the housing, and (b) a fully inserted position in which the locking member snap-fits to the terminal thereby locking the terminal in said cavity. The connector further includes a bus bar holder having a sleeve which accommodates a plurality of bus bar tab pieces. The sleeve is push-fitted over the peripheral surface of the housing to install the bus bar holder to the housing and to contact the tab pieces to the terminals, whereby the terminals are electrically connected to each other. Each locking member has an end surface portion which is adapted so that when, on push-fitting of the sleeve, a terminal is in the partially inserted position with the respective locking member raised with respect to the peripheral surface of the housing, the sleeve bears on the end surface portion to prevent installation of the bus bar holder.

摘要： A connector includes a housing having a plurality of cavities, a plurality of resiliently deformable locking members, and a plurality of terminals. Each terminal is inserted in the respective cavity and has (a) a partially inserted position in which the terminal bears on the respective locking member to deform the locking member so that the locking member is elevated with respect to a peripheral surface of the housing, and (b) a fully inserted position in which the locking member snap-fits to the terminal thereby locking the terminal in the cavity. The connector further includes a bus bar holder having a sleeve and a plurality of bus bar tab pieces which are accommodated in the sleeve. The sleeve is push-fitted over the peripheral surface of the housing via a partially installed position, at which the tab pieces do not contact said terminals, to a fully installed position, at which the tab pieces contact said terminals. In this way, in the fully installed position, the bus bar holder is installed to the housing with the terminals electrically connected to each other. In addition, each locking member is adapted so that when the terminal is in the partially inserted position with the respective locking member elevated with respect to the peripheral surface of the housing and an attempt is made to push-fit the sleeve to the partially installed position, the sleeve bears on the locking member to prevent the sleeve arriving at the partially installed position. The connector also comprises a detent for detaining said bus bar holder at said partially installed position. An assembling jig is provided which, if the connector is not properly assembled at the partially installed position, will not accept the connector.

摘要： A waterproof connector for electrical terminals has a housing containing cavities for the electrical terminals arranged in upper and lower rows. Bus bar units are fitted in the rows of cavities respectively to connect the electrical terminals in a predetermined pattern. A sealing member is installed on a rear end of the connector housing and held by a seal holder. The electrical wires connected with the electrical terminals are sealed against the sealing member. A closed end cap is installed on the connector housing from the front end and a lip portion on the peripheral edge of the sealing member seals against the inner peripheral surface of the cap. To permit discrimination of the orientation of the connector, the seal holder may have an asymmetrical shape.

An electrical wire connection portion connected to an electrical wire is provided rearward from the connection portion. The height of the connection portion is greater than that of the wire connection portion. A guard member projects from each of two side walls located between the connection portion and the wire connection portion. When an electrically conductive plate material is cut and bent to form the terminal, each guard member is formed integral with the respective side wall, and a tip of each guard member is folded inward to prevent a sharp edge from being exposed to the outside. A periphery of a terminal insertion opening in a resilient sealing member of the connector housing is prevented from being damaged when pressing the terminal into a terminal insertion opening of the resilient sealing member or when removing it therefrom.

摘要： An electrical connector, particularly adapted for use in motor vehicles, having an outer wall, a housing cap adapted to cover the front end of the housing, and one or more wire assemblies each having a terminal recess on the inside surface thereof. The assembly is adapted to be inserted into the housing from the rear and the housing has a corresponding number of receiving passages extending longitudinally therethrough. There is a narrowed portion of the passages which forces the assemblies being inserted outwardly against a deflectable arm in the outer wall. When the assembly is completely in place, the narrowed portion fits into the terminal recess, thereby permitting the flexible portion of the outer wall to return to its normal position. Thus, unless the assemblies are fully seated, the housing cap cannot be fitted over the housing, thereby preventing misassembly of the connector.
