    • The present invention relates to a tubular handling system (1) comprising: -a tower (10) comprising a tubular lift device for lowering and/or raising a tubular in an essentially vertical orientation, -a support (20) for supporting the tubular-laying tower -a tubulars supply system, preferably provided on the support, for supplying tubulars to an essentially horizontal supply position in the vicinity of the tower, -a tubular handling apparatus (2) for transporting a tubular between the essentially horizontal supply position and the tubular lift device in the tower, wherein the tubular handling apparatus comprises: a gripper (4a, 4b) adapted for gripping the tubular, a base (6), and a boom (5) to which the one or more grippers are attached, which boom is pivotable with respect to the base in a boom. According to the invention, the tubular handling apparatus further comprises a vertical extending frame (7), wherein said base is guided by said frame and movable in a vertical translational movement with respect to the frame.

    • The invention relates to a load spreader comprising: - two cable connectors, wherein each cable connector is configured to connect a respective suspension cable to the spreader; - a load connector configured to connect a load to the spreader; and - a passive actuator system configured to move the two cable connectors between a first and second position, wherein, in use, the horizontal distance between the two cable connectors is larger in the second position than in the first position, and wherein the passive actuator system is operable by water pressure, such that the spreader automatically moves the two cable connectors towards the second position when the spreader is lowered into a water body and moves the two cable connectors towards the first position when the spreader is raised. The invention further relates to a marine load raising and lowering system comprising such a load spreader and a method for raising and lowering a load into a body of water.

    • The invention relates to a marine pipeline installation system for laying a pipeline and/or installing a subsea riser, said system at least being adapted to carry out the rigid reel lay method. The system comprises a pipeline guide supported at an elevated position by said tower for guiding said pipeline from a first trajectory extending between the reel and the pipeline guide to the firing line along said tower. The pipeline guide is supported by the tower via an associated guide support frame, the support frame being adapted to allow for displacement of the pipeline guide between a pipelaying position, wherein one end of the pipeline guide is positioned in the firing line, and a retracted, non-operable position. According to the invention, the guide support frame allows movement of the pipeline guide in a combined upward direction and direction towards the reel, such that in the retracted position of the guide support frame the length of the first trajectory is essentially the same as in the pipelaying position.
