    • The invention relates to a service device (1000) having a system of a gasper module (100) and a lighting module (200) for a passenger service unit of an aircraft, comprising: a lighting source in a housing of the lighting module (200) for providing light and a gasper orifice in a housing of the gasper module (100) for supply of gasper air, wherein the lighting module (200) and the gasper module (100) are assembled in a housing assembly of the service device, wherein the housing assembly (300) is adapted to hold the lighting module (200) and the gasper module (100) essentially around an axis (Z) of the housing assembly. According to the invention the lighting module (200) and the gasper module (100) are separated to each other by a housing assembly bearing part (330), and a force transmission is applicable to the lighting module (200) and the gasper module (100) for independent movement of at least one of the lighting module (200) and the gasper module (100) relative to the bearing part (330), and wherein the gasper module housing (110) and the lighting module housing (210) are separately form fitted to the bearing part (330) by a positive locking, in particular wherein the positive locking as such is accomplished without any additional fixing elements.

    • The invention relates to an emergency oxygen supply device for aircraft inhabitants, comprising a container, wherein an oxygen mask is positioned inside said container, a releasable cover and a latch mechanism comprising a latch locking said cover lid. According to the invention said latch mechanism comprises a permanent magnet interacting with a magnetisable element an exerting a magnetic holding force onto said magnetisable element to hold said latch in a locking position, wherein a solenoid is positioned adjacent to the permanent magnet, said solenoid being connected to a control unit said control unit being adapted to receive an opening signal and to provide a current flowing through said solenoid in response to such opening signal, wherein said solenoid is arranged and dimensioned such that the current flowing through said solenoid reduces said magnetic holding force to such a level that the latch is released in a n unlocking position.
