SOLUTION: The method for producing a hydrocarbon having a low sulfur and nitrogen content comprises desulfurizing a gasoline feedstock containing at least 150 ppm by weight of a sulfur-containing compound by using a hydrodesulfurization catalyst, wherein the feedstock is subjected to denitrification in advance so that the content of a nitrogenous compound in the feedstock is not above 150 ppm by weight when the feedstock comes into contact with the hydrodesulfurization catalyst. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst which is used in a method for hydrodesulfurizing gasoline, decreases the total sulfur and thiol content in a hydrocarbon fraction such as an FCC gasoline fraction, prevents a large loss of gasoline and minimizes the decrease in an octane number. SOLUTION: The catalyst contains at least one carrier, at least one group VIII element, at least one group VIB element and phosphorus. The density of the group VIB element per the unit surface area of the carrier is 2×10 -4 to 18×10 -4 grams in terms of the oxide of the group VIB element per the area (m 2 ) of the carrier. The molar ratio of the group VIB element to the phosphorus is 0.27-2.00. The amount of the group VIB element is 1-20 wt.% in terms of the oxide of the group VIB element. The specific surface area of the carrier is 2 /g. A method for hydrodesulfurizing the gasoline fraction containing sulfur and olefin in the presence of the catalyst is also provided. Treatment of a hydrocarbon fraction containing sulfur, comprises hydrodesulfurizing the hydrocarbon fraction to produce an effluent, which is depleted in sulfur, where the hydrodesulfurizing comprises passing the hydrocarbon fraction in a mixture with hydrogen on at least a catalyst; separating the hydrocarbon fraction partially desulfurated from hydrogen introduced in excess as well as H2S formed during the previous step; and capturing the sulfur compounds comprising contacting the fraction partially desulfurated at the end of the separating step with an adsorbent comprising nickel, where the adsorbent being implemented in reduced form in the absence of hydrogen at a temperature of 40-300[deg] C, and the nickel content in the reduced form of the adsorbent is greater than 40 wt.%.
