    • PURPOSE:To easy and efficiently form a resin coating on a tile surface at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic resin powder is supplied on the surface of tile which is taken out from a firing furnace and is hot still and the powder is bonded by fusing on the tile surface with remaining heat of the tile. Hence since the thermoplastic resin is bonded by melting by using the remaining heat at the firing time of the tile, the thermoplastic resin is unnecessitated to preliminarily melt the thermoplastic resin and by using the thermoplastic resin powder superior in a handling property, the coating is easily and efficiently carried out at a low cost. Also since the supply quantity of the thermoplastic resin powder is easily controlled, a resin coating layer with uniformity and high quality can easily be formed.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain utterly different effects under natural light and illumination light by applying on the surface of a base made of ceramics a predetermined pattern of fluorescent pigment that reacts only with ultraviolet rays to emit fluorescence. CONSTITUTION:A frame 22 is provided on the outer peripheral portion of a net body 20 and a light-hardenable resin 24 of uniform thickness is provided over the net body 20. A masking material is placed for exposure on the net body 20 provided with the resin 24 and then the resin 24 is hardened only in the exposed portion. Then the resin 24 not hardened by light is washed off by water etc., and a mesh 26 is formed in a predetermined pattern to form a screen printing plate 28. After the printing plate 28 is placed on a tile 14, a fluorescent pigment 16 is placed on the printing plate 28. The pigment 16 is scratched off by a squeegee 32 in a pressing manner so that the pigment 16 is allowed to pass through the mesh 26 downward and applied in a predetermined pattern on the surface of the tile 14.
