    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability, in which a pedestal member is fixed onto a counter and a wall surface. SOLUTION: A bolt 6 is passed through the through-hole of a pedestal member 5 and the lower end of the bolt 6 is screwed beforehand into the female tapped hole 11 of a horseshoe-shaped member 7 for fixing the pedestal member 5 onto a counter. The left piece 7a and right piece 7b of the horseshoe-shaped member 7 are picked by a fingertip under the state and narrowed, and the horseshoe-shaped member 7 is inserted into a faucet mounting hole. When the bolt 6 is pushed downwards, the horseshoe-shaped member 7 is passed through the faucet mounting hole as an approximately horizontal posture is left as it is kept, returned to an original state by the energizing force of a leaf spring, and superposed at the lower edge of the faucet mounting hole. The edge section of the faucet mounting hole is held strongly from upper and lower sections by the pedestal member 5 and the horseshoe-shaped member 7 by sufficiently clamping the bolt 6, and the pedestal member 5 is fastened firmly onto the counter. The faucet is installed to the pedestal member 5.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball tap that is capable of starting water supply only on an occasion immediately before the water level in a tank lowers to a level for closing a float valve in the tank so that wasteful supply of water can be prevented. SOLUTION: A ball tap is equipped with a valve operating device 16 that moves upward, with a buoyant force given from a float 15, from a valve opening position to a valve closing position G. The float 15 is provided so that it can move upward and downward freely within a preset stroke range K under the state where the buoyant force is not transmitted to the valve operating device 16 placed in the valve closing position G, and a temporal holding device 12 developing attracting magnetic force is provided at a position between the valve operating device 16 and a fixing part 2. The attracting magnetic force is set at a strength wherewith the valve operating device 16 without the buoyant force given from the float 15 can be held at the valve closing position G while being unable to be held if the gravity of the float 15 reaching the lower limit of the preset stroke is given to the valve operating device 16.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the washing of the seat surface of a toilet seat by providing a splash preventing circumferential wall for surrounding the circumferential periphery of a toilet seat in such a condition that the toilet cover has been closed, and by forming the splash preventing circumferential wall so that the waterdrops coming down along the inner surface of the circumferential wall can be introduced into a toilet bowl. CONSTITUTION:When a toilet cover 3 is brought into a closed condition and washing liquid W is injected through an appropriate number of washing-liquid jetting ports 14 which have been provided on the back surface of the toilet seat 7, the washing liquid is injected against the seating surface 7b of the toilet seat for cleaning the seating surface. Most of the washing liquid after it has cleaned the seating surface flows down along the toilet seat 7 and is intro duced into a toilet bowl 1c. On the other hand, the washing liquid reflected from the seating surface is caught by the back surface of the toilet cover 3 and by a splash preventing circum ferential wall 11 and then flows down along the inner surface of the splash preventing circum ferential wall and is introduced into the toilet bowl 1c. When an appropriate number of hot-air discharge ports 18 are provided on the backside of the toilet seat, the waterdrops of washing liquid attached on the seating surface of the toilet seat can be quickly and forcibly dried by the hot-air discharged through hot-air discharge ports. Further, when the seating surface of the toilet seat is subjected to water repellent finish, waterdrops are hardly attached on the seating surface of the toilet seat, so that the removal of washing liquid can be accelerat ed and the drying time can be shortened.
