    • This application provides a network slice charging method and an apparatus. The method includes: A network slice management network element receives a first request, where the first request includes a charging requirement of a network slice. The network slice management network element sends a second request to a network slice subnet management network element, where the second request includes the charging requirement. The network slice management network element receives first charging data of the network slice, where the first charging data is collected based on the charging requirement. The network slice management network element sends the first charging data to a charging network element, where the first charging data is used by the charging network element to charge the network slice. In the foregoing solution, the network slice can be charged. In addition, different implementation methods for reporting charging data by network elements are further provided. This helps improve accuracy of charging the network slice.

    • The present invention provides a fault management method, which can implement fault reporting and processing in an NFV environment. The method includes: acquiring first fault information, including a faulty entity identifier and a fault type, of a network functions virtualization infrastructure NFVI entity, where the first fault information is used to indicate that a fault occurs in a first NFVI entity having the faulty entity identifier; generating first comprehensive fault information according to the first fault information, where the first comprehensive fault information comprises the first fault information and correlated fault information of the first fault information; and performing fault repair or reporting processing according to the first comprehensive fault information. In embodiments of the present invention, fault information of a hardware and/or software entity is acquired, to perform comprehensive processing on correlated pieces of fault information, which can implement fault reporting and processing in an NFV environment.

    • The present invention relates to the field of congestion control, and discloses a method for handling local link congestion and an apparatus. The method includes: negotiating, by a local link control entity, a local congestion notification capability with a local terminal; setting, by the local link control entity, a congestion identifier in a downlink data packet corresponding to the local congestion notification capability when a local link is congested between the local link control entity and the local terminal; and performing, by the local link control entity, congestion control on the local link, or performing, by the local terminal, congestion control on the local link according to the congestion identifier. The apparatus includes a local link control entity and a terminal device. According to the foregoing method, the present invention frees an end-to-end congestion notification mechanism from dependence on a network node or a remote terminal, enables the congestion notification mechanism to work all the time, and solves a problem of local congestion more effectively.
