    • A panel antenna (2) and a method for installing the same on an electronic device (not labeled), includes a panel (101), an antenna body (21), a cable (23), and a connector (22). The electronic device includes a case (1), with at least an expansion slot (100) openable on a surface of the case. The antenna body is mounted on the panel and the panel antenna is received in the expansion slot. The installation method includes the following steps: attaching the antenna body and the connector to either end of the cable; attaching the antenna body to the inside wall of the panel; electrically connecting the connector of the panel antenna to the mating connector (not labeled) of the electronic device; mounting the panel with the antenna body attached thereon in one of the expansion slots of the computer, with the engaging sides screwed or engaging with the opening of the expansion slot and the panel covering the opening.

    • A cable end connector assembly (1) for mating with an outer ground device (50) includes a plurality of electrical connectors (10), a cable (20), an insulative cover (40) and a grounding element (30). The cable comprises a plurality of wires (201), an outer insulative jacket (203) surrounding the wires and a metal braid positioned between the wires and the insulative jacket. The wires extend out of the jacket and electrically connect with contacts of the connectors, respectively. The insulative cover comprises a front portion (43) for the outer ground device being mounted thereon. The metal braid of the cable extends to the front portion. The grounding element is mounted to the front portion of the cover, and electrically and mechanically connects with the metal braid of the cable adapted for electrically connecting to the outer ground device.

    • A microstrip printed circuit board antenna includes a printed circuit board (PCB)(1), a plurality of metal sheets (2), and a plurality of microstrip traces (3). A plurality of antenna units is provided on the PCB. Each antenna unit includes one metal sheet, and a plurality of microstrip traces. In each antenna unit, the metal sheet serves as a grounding plane and the microstrip traces serve as a signal unit. The microstrip traces are disposed on both top and bottom faces (10, 12) of the PCB. An end of each microstrip trace forms a conductive through hole (4). Each conductive through hole electrically connects the microstrip trace with a corresponding microstrip trace on an opposite face of the PCB. The conductive through holes are sequentially electrically connected together by the microstrip traces, thereby forming a continuous conductive line. Thus, a size of the antenna unit is significantly reduced.

    • A PCB dipole antenna (1) for placing in an electronic device includes a first dipole antenna element (2), a second dipole antenna element (3), a printed circuit board (4), a first feeder apparatus (71) and a second feeder apparatus (72). The first dipole antenna element is perpendicular to the second dipole antenna element. Each first and second dipole antenna element includes two dipole cells respectively disposed on opposite surfaces of the printed circuit board. Each first and second dipole antenna element is fed through the first and second feeder apparatuses respectively. Switching of dual polarized radiation of the PCB dipole antenna is carried out under the control of an external device. This makes full use of two of the three radiation planes, and provides maximum diversity radiation efficiency.
