    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate distinctively radioactive contamination of the surface of a measuring object and radioactive contamination of the inside thereof without complicated operation processing, and to measure a trace amount of radioactivity accurately and infinitely close to the true value.
      SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a β-ray detector 2 for emitting fluorescence when a β-ray enters; a pair of photomultipliers 3, 4 connected across the β-ray detector 2, for converting the fluorescence into an electric signal; a simultaneous counting circuit 8 for extracting and outputting each electric signal output simultaneously from the pair of photomultipliers 3, 4; a γ-ray detector 5 for emitting fluorescence when a γ-ray enters; a pair of photomultipliers 6, 7 connected across the γ-ray detector 5, for converting the fluorescence into an electric signal; a simultaneous counting circuit 9 for extracting and outputting each electric signal output simultaneously from the pair of photomultipliers 6, 7; and a simultaneous counting circuit 10 for extracting and outputting each electric signal output simultaneously from the photomultiplier 4 connected to the β-ray detector 2 and the photomultiplier 7 connected to the γ-ray detector 2.
