SOLUTION: A power system stability diagnosis apparatus 12 extracts a dominant characteristic value from time-series observational data as follows: it computes a dominant mode power spectrum and a low-frequency noise range spectrum by a frequency component analyzing means 2; it computes the amount of a low-frequency noise component relative to a dominant mode component by a low-frequency noise amount determining means 3; it applies an autoregressive model and computes a characteristic value of each order by a characteristic value analyzing means 4; it screens them by a frequency screening means 5; and it changes and applies a dominant mode extraction technique according to the amount of the low-frequency noise component determined by the low-frequency noise amount determining means 3 and extracts the dominant characteristic value from among the multiple remaining characteristic values.     • PURPOSE:To enable a high-resolution azimuth analysis by using a maximum entropy (MEM) method under inferior signal-to-noise ratio conditions by filtering a signal on a time space basis by two-dimensional Fourier transform, and selecting a necessary frequency component and an azimuth component and performing inverse Fourier transform. CONSTITUTION:The received signal of a line array 1 is digitized by an input processing circuit 2 and a beat down circuit 3 extracts only a base band signal by digital filtering. Then a two-dimensional FFT circuit 4 performs the time spatial Fourier transform of the base band signal and a necessary frequency component and an azimuth component are selected through band/azimuth limiting circuits 5 and 6. Then the inverse Fourier transform is performed by a linear inverse FFT circuit 7 and an MEM processing circuit 8 calculates an autoregression coefficient which maximizes the entropy of input information to find signal power corresponding to each azimuth, thereby displaying the signal power on a display 9 as a two-dimensional graph. Consequently, even a target signal in noises can be analyzed with high resolution.

    • PURPOSE:To attain such a minute operation as to move the position of a cursor just by one or two addresses by adding a switch, a pulse generator and an OR circuit. CONSTITUTION:A switch 5 is provided together with a pulse generating circuit 6 which produces pulses every time the switch 5 is pushed and an OR circuit 7 which secures an OR between the output signal G of the circuit 6 and the output signals E and F of a revolving direction detecting circuit 4 and delivers signals H. THese signals H are used as the count-up and count-down signals. Therefore, if a cursor is moved more by an address, the switch 5 is pushed once to carry out a count-up operation with the signal H obtained by superposing a pulse onto the signal E. In such a way, it is possible to attain such a minute operation as to move the cursor just by one or two addresses.

    • PURPOSE:To accomplish a highly accurate measurement of phase difference by taking logical product of the signal A and the signal B within a frequency f, and when the signal is positive, counter is counted by the pulse of the frequency nf whose value is substracted from n/2. CONSTITUTION:Signals A and B are turned to a signal a through ''and'' with an and circuit 10. The signal B is multiplied by n to a signal b with a frequency mulitiplier 13. ''And'' of the signal a and b constitutes a clock of a counter 14. The signal A is applied to the counter 9. The number of the clock is counted by the counter 14 when the output c of the counter 9 is positive and memorized in a register 15. A data is transfered to a complementary counter 16 with the rise of the signal b and converted to the complement of 2. The data is provided to an adder 17. With the addition of the data and the binary of n/2, phase difference the signal A and B can be determined.
