    • PURPOSE:To obtain a titled device capable of rearranging rolls briefly in a short time by constituting the device; wherein a traversing carriage, to be loaded with grouped rolls for carrying them, is mounted on a self-traversing carriage, and the centers of both carriages are aligned with each other by inserting a taper shaft of the self-traveling carriage into a taper hole of the traversing carriage. CONSTITUTION:A traversing carriage 15A, loaded with new rolls at a roll shop 10, is mounted on a self-traveling carriage 11, and the carriage 15A is fixed to the carriage 11 by inserting a taper shaft of a stopper 17, used for stopping the movement of carriage 15A, into a taper hole of the carriage 15A with the aid of a movement-stopper driver 18, and both carriages 15A, 11 are carried to a roll- rearranging position by a self-traveling driver 12. Then, an empty traversing carriage 15B is mounted on the carriage 11 by a traversing driving-device 16, and the carriage 15B is loaded with drawn-out old grouped rolls. Next, the carriage 15A loaded with said new grouped rolls is mounted on the carriage 11 again; and the new rolls are attached to a rolling mill 1, after aligning the centers of both carriages 15A, 11 with each other and fixing them together by using the stopper 17. Thereafter, the carriage 15B loaded with the old grouped rolls is carried into the roll shop 10 by the carriage 11.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the scattering of fines by speedily drying dangerous radioactive metal waste which may ignites and explodes. SOLUTION: A container 1 on a small carriage 12 provided for a large carriage 2 is moved by the large carriage 2 below an upper lid attaching and removing device 5. An upper lid 24 of the container 1 is removed by the upper lid attaching and removing device 5. The container 1 is moved by the small carriage 12 below a container drying device 6. The container 1 is inserted in the device 6 by a container elevating and lowering device 7. The container 1 is provided with a passage 1-8 and a ball 1-4 to be pressed by springs. The ball 1-4 is pressed upward by the container elevating and lowering device 7 to supply hot air into the container 1 through the passage 1-8 from a hot-air inert-gas supplying device 8 and dry a hull 25 inside the container 1. A container negative pressure device 9 presses the ball 1-4 upward to bright about a negative pressure in the container 1.
