摘要： PURPOSE:To enable the recombination of a roll with a simple spindle holding device by providing the inner housing to store a roll chock inside the housing of an universal rolling mill and providing a height adjusting means and holding means between the inner housing and sled. CONSTITUTION:The heights of a vertical roll chock 4 and horizontal chocks 5, 6 are adjusted via a sled 2 and cartridge 3 by changing the thickness of a liner 12 at rolling time and the position at the height of each roll 7, 8, 9 is set to the center in the thickness of a rolling material. At the roll recombination time a rail 13 is ascended and the heights of the sled 2, chock 6, chock 4 and chock 5 are held constantly at all times via spacer rods 14, 15, 16. The alignment of the center in the thickness of the rolling material and the center of a roll 7, and the alignment of the shaft center of the rolls 8, 9 to the center of spindles 10, 11 becomes possible, the need to move the spindle holding device is eliminated and the structure is made simple.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the working capability of a rolling mill by installing a load detection means for a horizontal roll on a mill housing and a load detection means for a vertical roll on an inner stand and controlling rollings by combining those load detection means. CONSTITUTION:A rolling load acting on an upper horizontal roll 2 is supported by a mill housing 13 through a dummy block 11 and a hydraulic draft cylinder 12. A rolling load acting on a lower horizontal roll 2 is also supported by the mill housing 13 through a carriage 14 and a load cell 15. Dimensional control for a rolled stock during rolling is performed by use of the cylinder 12 and load cell 15. An inner stand 1 supporting the horizontal rolls 2 and a V roll is inserted into and pulled out from the mill stand 13 to eliminate a V draft door and to improve the working capability of a rolling mill.

In that case, rolling rolls are easily removed together with an inner housing 3 by installing the vertical roll draft driving device on the driving side base or in the driving side basement.

摘要： PURPOSE:To simplify a roll changing device by disposing the installation position of stand traveling rails and the installation position of roll changing rails on the same horizontal plane. CONSTITUTION:The stand changing rails 3 and the roll changing rails 8 are disposed on the same horizontal rails in such a manner that the heights of the wheel traveling planes of both the rails coincide with each other. A carriage is run on the stand changing rails 3 and is connected to the rolls housed in upper and lower chocks, then the carriage is drawn out to the operation side. The upper and lower chocks 6, 7 are run on the rails 8 by wheels 10 of a rod 9 and both the rolls and floor surface move when the carriage imposed on the floor surface travels. The new and old rolls are easily exchangeable in reverse order. Since a stand drawing out device can travel on the stand changing rails 3, the need for another carriage is eliminated and the changing device is simplified.

CONSTITUTION:The heights of a vertical roll chock 4 and horizontal chocks 5, 6 are adjusted via a sled 2 and cartridge 3 by changing the thickness of a liner 12 at the rolling time and the height of each roll 7, 8, 9 is set to the center in the thickness of a rolling mill. At the roll recombination time, a rail 13 is ascended and the heights of a turret 2, chock 6, chock 4 and chock 5 are held constantly via spacer rods 14, 15, 16. On the other hand the cartridge 3 is supported by pushing it up with a cylinder, a door 19 is rotated and the sled 2 is pulled out to the operation side. In the case if taking off rolls 7, 8, 9 together with the cartridge 3 the sled 2 is pulled out to the operation side after mechanically linking the sled 2 and cartridge 3 in the state of descending the cartridge 3.

CONSTITUTION:Block 14 is retreated by a cylinder 13 and by pushing wheels by a cylinder 13 arranged to the operating side housing 1, the operating side housing 1 is floated and the operating side housing 1 is shifted toward the driving side housing direction by a cylinder 5 held to a bracket fixing to the base by bolts and nuts. The wheels 16 are rotated on a liner 11 having high hardness and fixing on the upper face of the housing shoe 4. Further, as width of the wheel is less than one over several number of contacting width of the operating side housing 1 with the housing shoe 4, even if this width is weared, the fitting height of the operating side housing 1 is not changed.

Successively, after the spacer 23 is closed by working the cylinder, the solenoid valve 40 is turned to P side and the clamp cylinder 24 is worked, and by pressing the flange part of the tension bar 19 and the spacer 23 to the fixed side housing, the tension bar 19 is fixed to the fixed side housing 2. In this way the shifting side housing 1 is safely fixed to the fixed side housing 2 through the tension bar 19 in a short time without any handworking or crane- operation.

Upward the hook 22, a roll balance cylinder 24 is provided for lifting the upper and lower rolls 2 during rolling, a cylinder force during rolling is transferred through the hook 22, arm 21, carrier 16 to the upper and lower rolls 2. The same mechanism is provided on a driving side also, the upper and lower rolls 2 are to be lifted at two positions in total.

摘要： PURPOSE:To shift a stand by use of a simple device and to facilitate rolling for many types of stocks by installing a means which lifts only a shifting side stand from a stand fixing base and moves the stand in the axial direction for changing a width of a rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:For change of a distance L between stands 1, 3 to a distance L+ L, upper and lower roll bodies 8, 9 and a vertical roll body 12 are removed and a clamp member 7 is disengaged. Then, a pushing cylinder 6 is actuated to push a wheel 4 up to be flush with the top face of a fixed rail 13 through a movable rail 5. In that situation, the stand 3 is pulled by a hydraulic cylinder and is shifted by rotation of the wheel 4 on the fixed rail 13 so that a distance between the stands 1, 3 increases to L+ L. Then, the cylinder 6 is moved down so that the stand 3 abuts on a top face 2a of a fixing base 2 and the stand 3 is fixed to the base 2 with the member 7 and a wider work roll is installed.
