    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered magnet reducing the usage amount of rare earth elements of a rare earth magnet and satisfying an increase of maximum energy product and coercive force.SOLUTION: In a sintered magnet in which NdFeB based crystals and FeCo based crystals are present via a grain boundary, Co concentration decreases from a central part to a periphery within the FeCo based crystals, Co concentrations at the central part and the periphery within the FeCo based crystals have a difference by 2 atom% or more, and Co and heavy rare earth elements are unevenly distributed in the vicinity of the grain boundary within the NdFeB based crystals.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration in magnetic characteristics of a magnetic powder material by heat treatment by reducing the amount of a fluorine compound used. SOLUTION: A rotating machine has: a ferromagnetic material with iron, a rare earth element, and a semimetal element as principal components; a fluorine compound or an acid fluorine compound formed at the inside of the crystal grain of the ferromagnetic material or at one portion of a grain boundary section; at least one of alkali contained by the fluorine compound or the acid fluorine compound, an alkaline earth element, a metal element, and a rare earth element, and carbon or nitrogen; a continuous extension layer, where the fluorine compound or the acid fluorine compound passes through an opposite-side surface through the inside from the surface of the ferromagnetic material; and the sintered magnet in which at least one of the alkali, the alkaline earth element, the metal element, and the rare earth element is deposited one-sidely along the continuous extension layer at a transgranular periphery section along the grain boundary of the ferromagnetic material.
