    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compensation rope slip-off prevention device of an elevator capable of obtaining a smooth movement of a compensation rope.
      SOLUTION: The elevator is equipped with a plurality of compensation ropes 6 whose one end is connected to the lower part of a car 1 and the other end is connected to a counterweight 2 through a pulley 7 respectively in order to balance a main rope 3 with the weight. A comb body 18 which is positioned between respective compensation ropes 6 and has a plurality of projection parts 18a extended from the center side of the pulley 7 toward the outer peripheral direction of the pulley 7 is provided at the upper parts of the frames 11, 11'. When the compensation ropes 6 swing for any reason and move to the position 7 in such a state that the compensation ropes 6 are entangled with each other, the respective compensation ropes 6 are separated by the plurality of projection parts 18a and the compensation ropes are prevented from being taken up by the pulley 7 in such a state that the compensation ropes 6 detour to the back of the other compensation ropes 6.
