    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for rotary electric machines, wherein insulating coating will not be damaged when a stator coil is formed or attached to a slot.
      SOLUTION: In portions of a stator coil 5 formed in continuous wave winding shape to be attached to slots 8, an in-slot insulating layer provided with a sheet-like insulating material 9 on a one-by-one basis is formed. In the coil end portions X-X of the stator coil 5 protruding from the slots 8, a coil-end insulating layer is formed by applying and curing liquid insulating material. Since the in-slot insulating layers are formed on the stator coil 5, formed in continuous wave winding shape in this way, the insulating layers will not be damaged, when the continuous wave winding is formed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a permanent magnet field starter motor which enables the alignment precision between a permanent magnet and a brush, while the manufacturing cost is not increased. SOLUTION: An annular expanded opening 53 whose inner circumference diameter ϕa is larger than the inner circumference diameter of a yoke 5 is formed on the end part of the yoke 5. A notched groove 54 into which a bush 71 is fitted is formed in the yoke 5. The bush 71 is fitted into the notched groove 54 to determine the thrust direction positions of an external lead wire 7c, a lead terminal 7 and a lead wire 7a. A protrusion 44 is formed on the plate 4 and the width B of the protrusion 44 and the width A of the notched groove 53 are so set as to satisfy a relation A>=B. By inserting the protrusion 44 into the notched groove 54, the yoke 5 and the plate 4 are aligned with each other in a circumferential direction.
