    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for detecting microorganisms from a solid or liquid specimen by using gene analysis.
      SOLUTION: The microorganism detection system has an analyzing chip and an analyzing apparatus. The analyzing chip holds a reagent necessary for the analysis. The specimen is introduced into the analyzing chip and the chip is loaded on the analyzing apparatus. The analyzing apparatus is provided with a pressurizing source to supply a pressurized gas to the analyzing chip and an evacuation source to evacuate gases generated from the chip. The analyzing chip has a specimen reservoir having a filter. Disintegrated substances in the specimen are removed by the filter. The analyzing chip is further provided with valves on the flow path at the upstream side of the specimen reservoir and the flow path at the downstream side of the reservoir. The valve contains a polymer filled in the flow channel. The polymer is melted by heating to open the valve.
