    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent slip-off of an ICM guide pipe and increase connecting strength by setting a specific process such as a pipe joining process by mechanical enlargement of the pipe. SOLUTION: An ICM guide pipe 2 is cut in position A and an ICM housing 1 in position B to remove the guide pipe 2 bellow position A and the ICM 1. A new cladding welding part 7 is formed on the inside of an opening part 5a of a lower mirror 5, a new ICM housing 9 having a pipe 8 of inner and outer diameters equal to the pipe 2 at the upper end is inserted from the lower part of the lower mirror 5, and fixed to the welding part 7. A pipe joint 11 fitting to a new guide pipe 10 is fixed to the housing 9. The pipe 10 is set between the cut part of the pipe 2 and the housing 9. A joint 14 is set in the pipe 10 and the joint part of the pipe 2, and the pipe 10, the pipe 2, and the housing 9 are enlarged, and the pipe 2 and the pipe 10, and the pipe 10 and the housing 9 are connected. Finally, the ICM is inserted into the pipe 2, the pipe 10, and the housing 9 to complete assembly. Slip-off of the ICM guide pipe is prevented, and connection strength in the piping joint part is increased.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance efficiency of inspection and preventive maintenance work of a reactor bottom part of a reactor pressure vessel and an annulus section formed between a reactor core shroud and the reactor pressure vessel.
      SOLUTION: An inspection and preventive maintenance apparatus for a structure within the reactor pressure vessel for executing inspection, cleaning and preventive maintenance of the structure by obtaining access to the structure within the reactor pressure vessel filled with cooling water through a remote control comprises a fixing mechanism for fixing the apparatus itself to the structure within the reactor pressure vessel or a pipe guiding itself and a main body section movably and removably attached to the fixing mechanism and provided with a plurality of joints. The main body section is provided with a nozzle 436 for producing cavitation bubbles and an electronic camera for monitoring a work execution part and an illumination means 437.
